Our top 5 picks for Sorrento Writers Festival

The Annual Sorrento Writers Festival is coming up and we're excited! We've rounded up our top 5 picks so you can snap up your tickets.

1. Story Slam with Jane Hone Thursday April 25 7.00pm.
Sure to sell out fast, this is an open-mic event where storytellers gather to share five-minute stories on the night's theme "Journeys" -

2. Digging Deep - Finding the courage to tell my story. Friday April 26 9.00am.
Featuring Jan Cochrane-Harry, Robyn Davidson, Lech Blaine and Grace Tame with Sally Warhaft.
As anything that involves Grace Tame, this sure to be a moving conversation.

3. We are Sick of Feeling Unsafe. Feminism’s next challenge. Sunday April 28 12.00pm.
Rosie Batty, Kate Jenkins and Catharine Lumby with Jamila Rizvi.

4. In Conversation, Anna Funder. Thursday April 25, 1.00pm.
Anna has written several books, her recent take on George Orwells "hidden" wife "wifedom" was brilliant so I'd put myself on the waiting list for this in case tickets crop up.

5. Modernism (ii). How mid-century architecture changed domestic life - Friday April 26, 9.00am.
Super curious to see what Fiona Austin, Patricia Callan and Greer Honeywill think about this. Could domestic life be different?

Check out the full program here and hopefully we’ll see you there!
