Saint Majella was born on an empty beach on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Mel and Cel both new mothers clambering through the trenches, craving what many mothers do, community and creativity.

Fuck it we said, if it’s not here, let’s build it!

So we did, a podcast, empowering events, culture cubs and a loyal online following have brought us here.

Two more babies have been added to our brood and as we traverse the motherhood experience the fire in our belly only grows stronger.

There is much to do.

Because,

• 1 in 2 mothers suffering from postnatal depletion is simply not good enough.

• Gender disparity of domestic labour is simply not good enough.

• 1 in 3 women experiencing their birth as traumatic is simply not good enough.

We need change and it starts here.
